Very nice condition 1930/40s Swiss Splittertarn (Splinter Camouflage)
poncho/shelter half. Although extremely similar to Splinter patterns
used by the 3rd Reich, it is easy to tell the difference. For one it is
cut in a square and not a triangle like all German examples. The other
is that on one side the camouflage has faint yellow "rain" strokes in
addition to the standard strokes, the other side's camouflage lacks the
extra rain strokes. Third, there are some breaks in the shapes that is
not present in the German patterns. Lastly, it comes with a matching
tentpole bag and poles/stakes, whereas the Germans rolled their
poles/stakes up into the shelter itself.
Overall condition is excellent, though there are about a half
dozen professional military repairs to the shelter. These consist of
circles of the fabric glued onto what are probably small holes. This
auction includes everything you see.

ATTENTION!!! If you win do *not* send payment to me until you
receive an invoice (this takes about 1-2 days). The reason is eBay's
mandatory postage estimator is very often wrong and charges the seller
too much money. For example, it doesn't take into account flat rate
shipping options. Thanks!!
